Reflections Of Amsterdam - The Orange Flood

Unedited shot of orange flags reflected in a canal in Amsterdam. Taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ8. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

Last night the Dutch team beat Cameroon with 2:1 in the FIFA World Cup and the country is covered in an orange layer that gets thicker with each victory...the people at the Amsterdam city hall are even considering to allow us to put up big screens in public places to watch the matches with our friends&families, but without having to buy the overprized drinks in the few bars that have set up TV's on their terraces (they're still not allowed to serve beer there, customers will have to go inside and get it by themselfes, sigh), and where groups larger then 15 can actually enjoy this (rather boring, I have to admit) tournament. As you might know by now if you keep an eye on this stream, the Dutch supporters are the freakin' best supporters in the world, and deserve better than that, we even go to jail for our team if the situation requires it (and look hot while doing so ;)), but we will not be stopped, not this time, now now, hand over that golden cup right away or we'll shoot (with balls, not bullets, naturally!), hahaha :D

If you want to follow the World Cup, but have no TV around, check out this website, all the matches, all for free, all live&direct :))

I've also made a movie of this canal reflection, check it out on my YouTube page :)
