Reflections Of Amsterdam - Look, A Seagull!

Unedited shot of tourists walking around in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. Taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ8. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

I am always amazed that we don't have to mourn thousands of dead tourists each day, considering how they tend to walk in the middle of the mean streets of the best city in the world, heads in the clouds, hanging around in the until a car/bike/tram will honk at them and chase them back onto the pavement where they belong, hehe :)

This is the rule, not an exception, and it goes across all social-, age- and gender-groups, it's really bizarre when you think about it, grown up people, that manage to live fulfilled lives in their home countries, can not figure out how to stay on the safe side of the main road, risking limbs&live just to stand in a busy spot with a map in their hands, and a wondering expression on their faces, that changes to sheer terror every few seconds, when another mad-man/woman (usually me ;) comes rushing towards them in/on a physically superior vehicle that is aiming at their soft parts, ringing his/her bell/horn in the most urging manners, arms waving at them frantically, and still, they'll stay where they are, like a deer in the headlights of an approaching car, only to smile at you apologetically (if they still can!) once you've crashed into them and are entangled in this wreck of steel, wheels and bones (hopefully theirs, not yours!) and say 'Sorry' in whatever tongue they master best...sigh :-P

In a wicked mood, I've also made a movie of this puddle, check it out on my YouTube page :)
