The Rainmaker

Slightly edited shot of a window-cleaner in Amsterdam, taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ8. No editing besides some added contrast&saturation.

If you were ever wondering why it's raining so much in Amsterdam, here's the reason why: We have these men in the best city in the world that will come to your house regularly, pretending to clean your windows while standing on giant wooden ladders, but in reality they repeatedly poke their heads into the clouds hovering above us until they shed their wet load on top of us poor people passing by on our bikes...

Nobody knows why they do it, and many of us have tried to stop them by biking against their ladders, trying to tip them into the canals and drown them like they deserve it, but they usually just float away, signaling their disgust with our simple-minded attempts at restoring the natural oder in our hometown by making demeaning, intimidating hand gestures at us...I'm not sure how much longer I can take this madness, maybe I'll move to the Desert, where they have no rain or windows ;-D

Have a wonderful weekend!
