Our Queen Beatrix is handing over the royal responsibilities to her son Willem-Alexander and the lovely Maxima, that means that from next year on we'll celebrate Kingsday, and I'm pretty sure we'll get just as drunk and have as much orange fun as we've had on QD each year, lol :D

1000 Drawings Amsterdam - BFF

Last Friday the guys and girls of the '1000 Drawings Amsterdam' organization had their big event at the 'Vlaams Cultuurhuis De Brakke Grond', art made by hundreds of awesome people was on display and every visitor was able to purchase a drawing for just 10 euros, the money raised will be used to support a charity project. It was a great, inspiring evening, I met lots of nice people and saw so much art that I would love to hang on my living room wall :)

Do...

I might have mentioned this before, I totally love the Dutch girls and their way of riding a bike while dressed as if they're going to a CEO Meeting of some multi-billion dollar corporation, combining fitness with sleek looks while being very hands-on at the same time. This lady fixed the chain of her bike, dusted off her fancy clothes and hopped back into the saddle, very efficient and cool, that's just how these girls roll :D
If you don't have plans for tonight yet, come to the '1000 Drawings Amsterdam' event, I'm part of the photographer crew, and if you're lucky, I'll shoot you with your own personal drawing that each visitor will receive as a gift...if you're reeeeeally lucky, you might get one of my doodles :)

AmsterSam...

It didn't rain in Amsterdam for over a month, which means no puddles and no wicked reflection pictures, so a week ago I stood on my balcony at night, looked at the sky and asked for rain, so that I can do what I do best again, and the next day water started falling out of the clouds. I am not saying that I made it rain, but yeah, I made it rain, lol :D
I am a powerful being it seems, and that is OK, these are the kind of things that help me to further the good cause of the 'AmsterSam World Domination Plan', hehehe :P

Yesterday the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam opened again after 10 years of Renovations, the Queen was there and 10000 gazillion other visitors, the sun was shining and the entry to the museum was free, making it an overall lovely day and experience. Even though the people had to wait for ages to get into the museum, the vibe was very relaxed and there were happy faces all around :)

This week the sun was shining and it barely snowed in Amsterdam, a very welcome change to the usual Spring days we've been experiencing this year, so I hopped on a ferry to the North and had a coffee with the cool Miss O to enjoy these rare, beautiful moments. Today the sun-fun is already over again, it's grey, windy and cold outside, so what's better than to look at pictures of a girl and some sunshine? Not much, that's what :)

Yesterday I went to the opening of the ASA/4816 Art Boulevard at the Westerpark, lots of great people, funky music, inspiring art and some sunshine made it a perfect place to hang out on Easter Sunday. You can join the fun every Sunday for the whole Summer, and I am really looking forward to spending more quality time at this beautiful location in the middle of the park, thanks for creating another awesome event ASA&4816 crew :)
